Also, I can't seem to be able to link to an external site for my avatar image. When I specify the URL, click on change profile, the page refreshes and I return back to the same screen w/o the URL link that I had specified. Funny.

Using avatars uploaded on an external server is FINE. You may not see your custom avatar on the Profile settings page itself, but once you get back to the board index it should show. I tested it, works fine. Try again please.

The only reason I can think of is that your avatar exceeds 100x100 pixels as that's the max size I've kept for any avatar. If that's the case then reducing the size may help you.

how come I don't have some dude's name under my nick? Everyone else is Brett Ratner, Ron Howard, depending on the no. of posts, duh, but...why didja keep these names as opposed to your other options?

You have the option to upload upto 4 images under "Additional Options." You just need to click on "more attachments" next to the "browse" button. Check this out:

I had seen that option earier, but can't see it now. Didn't show-up when I was posting the DVD images  Huh

Even for this post i tried - didn't get it either. Is it to do with this theme I am using?
