All the muslims in this forum should consider this a required watching (at the very least, the first episode or so).

While the jokes might get tiring after a while (not yet), so far its been hilarious.

Basically, its a Canadian sitcom (no laughtrack, of course) from a Muslim POV.

There is a risk that while I am finding it likable NOW, i might change my tunes, once the novelity fades away.

Because it is the kind of sitcom, where the imam is a charming, handsome young man (not a facial hair in sight!).

I've heard an interview with the show's Canadian muslim creator, who said she wanted this show to appeal to both muslims and non-muslims (obviously, especially the latter). She stressed that muslims should watch the sitcom and realise that its kinda OK to make fun of yourselves...

I have friends in Canada who say its a rage with the local Muslim community there. Will try to get my hands on it.
