TEJA mein hoon, Mark idhar hai !!

« on: July 31, 2006, 03:41:PM »

I watched the first episode last night on Zee Cafe, and it was surprisingly funny and warm kinda like the TV shows ED and Gilmore Girls.

It stars that guy from the TV show ED (Thomas Cavanagh), that guy from Beverly Hills 91210 (Jason Priestley), the hot Judy Greer, the black guy from Crash (Larenz Tate) along with other first timers.

Here is the skinny on the show:

The series is about four male friends at different stages of life and love as told through the eyes of a single, thirtysomething record executive.

Supposedly CBS had issued a midseason order for eight episodes only and after that they cancelled the show and VH1 picked it up. SO the show is still on air but not on the major networks thus not being in the limelight.

I cant recommend the show to anyone yet coz i have only seen the first episode, but it holds lots of promise.

This show sounds very interesting. I liked "Ed" for the first 10 episodes - reminded me of "Northern Exposure."

"Gilmore Girls" is fabulous. Smart, sharp-tongued babes talking pop culture, giving relationship advice, making the men look like boys and doing all that without.once.spilling a drop of their Starbucks coffee!

Anyone here seen "Everwood." It's "Gilmore Girls" for the guys.

I found Everwood to be so average. Just another predictable melodramatic TV show about hot-shot up-state New York Surgeon who moves to small town America after the death of his wife and his f***ed up relationship with his son. Then you have the towns people - off the shelf stock characters we've seen before a hundred times. Unoriginal and uninspired.

So whats good TV? One word. DEADWOOD!

I love Gilmore Girls. My sister kept begging me to download it, but I ignored her, and told her I had no time for chick shows, and if she wanted, she could download it herself.

Anyway, she did, and started watching it, and I ignored her requests to watch, because I didn't believe her claims that it was good. Its not like our tastes ever overlap.

One day, I was changing my clothes, while she was watching it, and I watched a scene accidently, and I discovered that it was kinda funny. I watched the rest of the episode and was hooked.

While it seems girly and sappy, I find it to be one of the best written TV shows ever. So what if its not dark, gritty, and edgy? Its sweet and smart.
