Best Movie Poster: From the nominations, I think "Hard Candy" is very good, really one of my favorites, even though the movie was a 3/5 for me. In the runner-ups, "Fountain" is beautiful, and I wouldnt mind a big ass poster of it. "Lady in the Water" is also really nice.Others I like are "Perfume" and "The Proposition"

Worst Movie Poster: Nothing interesting here, except the really terrible "Snakes on a Plane" one. Who the fuck made that? It had other nice posters.

Best Teaser / Advance Poster:
All are amazing. My choice would probably be "Cars" though. I love that cocky grin!

Frankly speaking -- political correctness, be gone! -- I felt I could do better. Although IMP surely has a wider selection criterion (bravest poster, creepiest posters, best teaser poster, best tagline, et al) and, hence, more posters, I’ve used a more facile approach: just TEN of the most original and creatively designed movie posters released in 2006. And here they are…continue reading »

The best/worst thing about lists is that they are entirely subjective. No list can be definitive. We'd love to hear which posters you didn't like and, if possible, why. I would encourage everyone here to think about at least ONE great poster from the last year. I'm very interested to know what other posters were favourites...

Good list, AK, certainly better and broader than IMPA's list.

I also realized that the "Best Poster of 2006" could also be myself.
