He [Anurag Kashyap] directed a movie called Paanch but due to excessive violence in the movie the Censors did not pass it and wanted a lot of scenes to be cut. Anurag went against the Censors and decided not to release the film.
This is just to clarify, i have not leaked the copy of Paanch on the internet, at the same time if someone has done it, i wish him luck that he doesn’t get caught and on the aside i would like to thank him, atleast now it can be seen and i don’t have to live in hope or fear of what will happen to it.
Hope this wakes up my producer from his deep slumber and he does something about it..
pl feel free to watch the film.
This after a review based on a pirated print found itself on the PassionForCinema website, for whom
Kashyap writes blog entries, answers questions, etc.
Although he has no right to ask people to download the movie (this is the right of the producer), I like the idea of him championing free-spirit. So, although downloading the movie is illegal, the director is publicly not against it.
