If you call the telephone directory service 181, you will now be charged 1.00aed for the 1st minute and 30fils for every subsequent 30 seconds.

Ak...exactly what I do as well. I'm usually done under 30 seconds when using my mobile phone because once I make the request and the auto message starts, I disconnect and get the SMS almost instantaneously. This method has only failed once so far - when I didn't receive an SMS.
