Contrived and mostly disoriented. It plays for too long and the split stories play at completely different levels. Like two different directors' movies spliced together. The story deals with an American-born Bengali who comes back to Calcutta in search of his music, while a Bengali from Calcutta is transferred by his IT firm to Houston.

The American-in-Calcutta parts are mostly good, and maybe should have been the only parts in the movie. But even here, the director gives a bit of promise to sub-plots but leaves them dry (1-The educated bhabhi physically abused by her husband each night. 2-The rich music that the grandfather was a guru of).

The Desi-in-Houston parts are mostly bad. No - are ALL bad. Our Houston-returned Oil Baron might be able to tell us more about these parts when (& if) he watches this movie, but I didn't like any bits of it. Especially a complete waste of film and our time on an illegal drunk whore-hopping Cab-driver (who for no reason is a friend of our Desi-in-Houston).

I dont' think anybody's missing anything by NOT watching this movie.

If you can't convince them, confuse them.
