Based on Frank Miller's graphic novel, 300 is about the 480 B.C. Battle of Thermopylae, where the King of Sparta led his army against the advancing Persians; the battle is said to have inspired all of Greece to band together against the Persians, and helped usher in the world's first democracy.

In his first feature since his debut in Dawn of the Dead, Zack Snyder uses extensive Green-Screen and minimalistic sets (ala sin City & Sky Captain) to re-create Frank Miller's celeberated book. Look out for it in 2007.

i want to see this NOW!!! man iam so glad that so many cool movies were pushed back from this fall to early next year.at least we will have a great start, unlike this year.

i'll never forget the fact that they didn't show SIN CITY in bahrain.now i SWEAR if the decided not to show this in bahrain, i'll smack the cinema's manager in the face.

The 300 are Looking for a New Date.AAAARRRRRRGGHH! someone has been reading my post then!

Warner Bros. had a very bad summer, 3 big "flops": Lady In The Water, Superman Returns and Poseidon.so i think they are gonna push back 300 to next summer so they don't make the same mistake of this year.the winner in this push back is Hot Fuzz as it will open on March 9.

I don't watch trailers but with all the kisses and flowers being showered upon the "300" trailer...well, I did. And it's fucking gorgeous!

Possibly the coolest trailer in a while (OK, I confess, anything that can make me take Gerard Butler for 30 seconds without breaking into peals of laughter is certified genius).

Bring on "The Watchmen," Snyder.

it's got to be the best trailer since Sin City, really. That opening shot (cliff's edge) itself had me hold my breath to the very end. Lovely Lovely stuff, this.

apparently, 300 is comin' sooner that expected.the new US release date is 9 March and unlike Sin City, 300 is backed by Warner Bros,that means that 300 will get released in the middle east for sure, we should expect it to be released around April,if not sooner.

really glad that Warner bros didn't delay it till summer 2007.
