TEJA mein hoon, Mark idhar hai !!

« on: August 20, 2006, 06:41:PM »

Heroes[/url]
Network: NBC
Airdate: September 25

Description: “Heroes” is sort of a mixture of “Lost”, “The 4400” and “X-Men”. Basically its loose premise is what would happen if an everyday person developed special abilities. All across the globe this new phenomenon is exploding and people are waking up with extraordinary abilities like a computer geek in Tokyo who can teleport, a stripper in Vegas who sees her evil half in a mirror, a man who thinks he can fly, an indestructible cheerleader and an artist who can paint the future. The pilot is basically a beginning point for all these characters and it leaves open so many possibilities.

Looking at the first pic, I guess - after Naveen Andrews in "Lost" - its finally cool to have an Indian guy in your cast.

Gave this another watch and I'm hooked. The show keeps getting better and better. Its about these superheroes who know they have powers but so far dont know what to do with them. One can paint the future, one can stop time, fly, read minds, etc. All real people and no latex costumes or capes. This one has potential and it looks really bright.

Heroes is much better than the poster above indicates.

Its hard to explain why this works, because it would just sound silly, but it does.

i agree.... the poster makes it look like a rip-off of lost or something...

in the series, almost none of the characters start together... they all start on thier individual journeys

The two characters I like are the Japs Hiro Nakamura and the cop Matt Parkman.

Hiro is, of course, hilarious, but I also like that Peter guy. Not only is he interesting, he has cool powers!

That Peter guy has powers only when he is around other Heroes. Atleast thats what I think.

Wonder what powers that Indian guy has?

Peter's power is to mimic other Heroes' powers. He could fly when around his brother, pain the future when he was with Isaac, and be involved with the time stoppage, when Hiro visited him.

I dont think the Indian guy has any power. And actually, I hope he doesnt. It would be cool if he is just a smart guy, and will act as a sort of leader.

But what is the deal with Claire's father? Is he good or evil?

I have no clue about him. The jury is still out there for him? But the black guy with him is scary, he erased that kids memory.

The only disappointing thing about Heroes now is that they keep showing the Indian guy in Chennai and it never looks like Chennai. Everyone is speaking fluent English, the extras are clearly Mexicans, it just looks tooo weird.

Spoiler

Now it will be fun to see who the next bad guy is as Cylar gets caught. He had some kick ass powers.
