Don't worry; I'm not trying to give you any hints about what to buy me this X'mas!

December is the month people go stark shopping mad. I'm no different (unfortunately).

Needed a place to collect my thoughts, and having it here may be useful for everyone - post your own wishlist for ideas.

ak's wishlist
appearing in order of priority, may be whittled down given factors of realism, money and/or generous benefactors.

The Complete Calvin and Hobbes (book)
Carnivale: Season 1 (dvd)
Carnivale: Season 2 (dvd)
Forbidden Planet: Ultimate Collector's Set (dvd)
Six Feet Under: The Complete Series Gift Set (dvd)
Moonage Daydream: The Life & Times of Ziggy Stardust (book)
Jessica Biel (hottest woman alive) this should really be on the top of my list, but again, I'm just being sensible here

What's religion got to do with a fucking wishlist?

Can I marry you, Mad? You're so clever.

AK, i suggest you don't buy Six Feet Under: The Complete Series Gift Set this christmas, wait till it drops in price, iam waiting too.plus, don't get Carnivale season sets as there will definitly be a complete set with better packaging and better extras in the future.i personally, stopped buying DVDs on their release date unless i really really really want it and they are not pricy,(like yesterday i ordered Thank You For Smoking).i aslo ordered Polar Express (Special Edition w/ Snowglobe & Train) from amazon.con since it's discounted by (50%).

speaking of giftsets, i was about to order Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: The Edition That Doesn't Suck DVD but then again i found out that paramount is releasing this:

which includes:

Beavis And Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection - Volume 1
Beavis And Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection - Volume 2
Beavis And Butt-Head: The Mike Judge Collection - Volume 3
Beavis And Butt-Head Do America: Special Collector's Edition

not sure if this is an indication that paramount is not going to release  volume 4, as there's over 40 shorts still not on DVD.

i also would like to order this soon

"There's this whole school of thought that movies are always so great when you're 10 or 12 years old, and the reality of it is, when you're 10 or 12 years old, you've only seen 100 stories. By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting." David Fincher
