2012 looks like one of strongest in memory. With the help of Shariq's post and other sources. Let's list our top 10 anticipated films of 2012. Mine are:

10. The Avengers: it is inevitable that we succumb to years of hibbing. Let's just hope that it lives up to all of that.

9. War World Z:  as a director, Marc Forster has never impressed me with anything he has done so far, but this one has many things that I can't just ignore, mainly the zombie epidemic which I am just sucker for, and the talented cast lead by one hot Brad Pitt. Add to that how it is based on a beloved book, and I am there.

8. The Cabin in The Wood: This is my goofy horror film, starring your Thor Mr. Chris Hemsworth and written by Joss Whedon and a bunch of his Buffy/Angel team. The trailer is weird and kinda silly, and I always fall for that.

7. Looper: I have many Sci-Fi films in this list, and Rian Johnson 3rd film is one of them. 'nough said!

6. Brave: after Car2, Pixar needs this to work, and I really have faith in them to make it work. The teaser trailer is really good, that is why I am putting this in my list with confidence.

5. Gravity: Alfonso Cuaron is my favorite of the big three Mexican directors, even though he is the least prolific of them. The film has Clooney and Bullock in the leads and only the two of them are listed as the cast, so this should be very interesting.

4. Prometheus: Do I really have to explain it?

3. Django Unchained: Tarantino + DiCaprio as a baddy. Who can resist?

2. The Dark Knight Rise: of course it will be here.

1. The hobbit: my most anticipated film of 2012 since they announced its release date, and no other film would have replaced it no matter what.

Other considerations:
- The Master: P.T. Anderson's take on the creation of a new religion, supposedly a jab at Scientology. Listed as a 2013 release, but many reports has it as a late 2012 awards contender. I would have put it up there if i was sure it is coming, but let's cross our fingers.
- Moonrise Kingdom: Not the biggest Wes Anderson fan, but the trailer and the cast is just amazing.
- The Amazing Spider-Man: I love to see Webb's take on this after enjoying 500 Days of Summer. I also really like Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield.
- Lincoln: Daniel-Day Lewis and Spielberg will make magic, even if it is a biopic.
