Fed (Plush, 2002)

Listenable but boring. Plush' "Fed" might be worth listening to one or two times, but there is nothing that really adds up. The songs have a hint of Ray Davies throughout, but a lesser Ray Davies, none of the beautiful emotional songs of Davies nor his wit, but there is some of the soothing feelings that Davies could create with Liam Hayes' Plush.

"Greyhouse Bus Station" breaks the monotony of it a bit and the song "Fed" is interesting enough to be worth naming the album after. Everything else, while good, is no reason to rush and listen to the songs again.

3/5

What happened to the complicated song based contextual rating?

Oh, that's right...you're married too....

That was waaaay too time consuming. I had to first listen to an album several times, then when I wanted to write the review, I had to relisten to each song again, one by one, and take notes.

But still, for a married man, I still haven't fully stopped reviewing!

No you did not. Masha Allah even after you got married you disappear for a few days then come up with so many reviews of books, music, films, and TV. I did not know how you can manage it before when you were single, and I sure can't figure it out how you do it while married. Any way you do it, please keep it up cause this forum need all the energy it can get.

I second Mad's enthusiasm to continue all his interests as a married man. Even with a supporting wife, it can get tough sometimes...but when you have a kid, that's when the breaks really come on.
