Cracks
(Jordan Scott, 2009)
In an all girl boarding school, Miss G is that movie teacher that we have seen all our lives. She is Robin Williams from "Dead Poet Society" and a thousand other films. The one inspiring teacher in a school of dull teachers that is unorthodox, courageous, and is willing to take the students to new heights, if not intellectual, at least, emotional. Carpe diem, seize the day!
But when a new student enters the school, we soon realize that it is not at all like it seems. This new student, Fiamma, is from Spain, a royal family, and has seen the world much more than the rest of the students. She is not as impressed by Miss G as the others, and it is only she that is not taken by the teacher's stories of her worldly travels. Maybe it is because Fiamma has travelled the world that she can instantly realize that Miss G has never really travelled. In contrast to her being unimpressed by the teacher, the teacher seems to be impressed by her. This destroys all status quo that has been created in the class. The popular girl, Di, is jealous of the new girl, and the attention that Miss G seems to be give her, and maybe even angrier that Fiamma does not seem to be honored by the Miss G's love towards her.
And so cracks appear.
A somewhat interesting film, that I think I actually acquired because I think I read had lesbian scenes. But aside from one minor scene of the teacher, Eva Green, kissing her sleeping student, there is not much going on her that would make my pants happy. Everything else was okay, but would have preferred more cracks, if you know what I mean. Pussy cracks, if you didn't.

Aah, Eva Green. The premise sounded interesting, but your last para suggests I should not pick it up right away

If it were all in the script, why make the film?

Haha, she doesn't mind - as long as it is not
Anne Hathaway
. I'm holding on to
Love And Other Drugs
for the time-being (although my interest in the movie itself is zero)!
