This looks like fun.
Stiller, Murphy, Broderick, Leoni, Alda, C. Affleck, Peña, and Gaboury Sidibe based on the novel 'Push' by Sapphire.

I didn't say it was good. Yes: crappy fun.
It's Ratner for crying out loud.

I agree, he is capable of making enjoyable trash like the first two
Rush Hour
films. He also can make a good film every once in a while like
Red Dragon
.

Money Talks is a masterpiece

"There's this whole school of thought that movies are always so great when you're 10 or 12 years old, and the reality of it is, when you're 10 or 12 years old, you've only seen 100 stories. By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

This film is a passable fun. Not really a good film, and worst of all, it was not funny at all. It is an
Ocean's 11
wannabe only not nearly as exciting or inserting. All the players are bland and uninteresting especially
Eddie Murphy
, safe for
Alan Alda
who is in a whole different film than everyone else, and also
Gabourey Sidibe
who is has a small but really funny role. There is one somewhat exciting final caper, pales in comparison to the one in
Ocean's 11
. Count this review as a barely positive critique, mainly for the great
Alan Alda
who I never though can do a sleaze ball, but somehow managed to make his role a joy to watch. That being said, I don't see any of you wasting money or time on that. Catch up on it may be when it comes out on DVD.
My Rating 2.5/5
