Quote
Director Lars von Trier has announced his next project, which is called Antichrist, reports Production Weekly. He is expected to shoot the horror film next summer.

The English language movie is set in nature and based on the theory that it was Satan, not God, who created the world.

Von Trier has directed such films as Dancer in the Dark, Dogville and Manderlay.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"There's this whole school of thought that movies are always so great when you're 10 or 12 years old, and the reality of it is, when you're 10 or 12 years old, you've only seen 100 stories. By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting." David Fincher

i've just read that Johnny Depp told the danish press that he wants to work with Lars von Trier.now wouldn't be great if he was given the leading Role in Antichrist?

Im not a fan of Lars von Trier but this looks too good to be missed. And it has Willem Dafoe in it. Watch the creepy trailer and decide.

Synopsis -

The pan-European film tells the story of a couple devastated after the death of their young son. They retreat to a cabin to mourn but are soon met with terrifying and disturbing situations.

this is a movie Lars von Trier wanted to make for years,i remember its page on imdb.com kept oh showing on and off for like 5-6 years now.and it's been said  that Lars von Trier changed the plot several times.

i made a thread about this years ago,here it's.

Shot on the RED camera by none other than Anthony Dod Mantle, so the flat, cheap look is part of von Trier's plan.

This film has no chance in hell (pun intended) of being released here.
