TEJA mein hoon, Mark idhar hai !!

« on: February 08, 2011, 10:07:AM »

Last year we did not give out any gifts and this year could be the same until we come up with something. But what is on offer are the exclusive "Bragging Rights" which by experience are much more precious.

Just like the economy has been slowly recovering from the sub-prime losses, Hollywood also started recovering after the dismal 2009. Though the summer was nothing to write home about the fall brought some respite.

Note: To keep this thread clean, post only predictions here. Any comments or rants on the awards itself should go to this discussion thread.

Oscar Predictions 2011

Guessing who takes home the golden statuettes has become a revered, annual tradition for WM Citizens.

This time there will be 17 categories to take a crack at because most of them are straight lock in's for a win and we need to make this a bit hard for ourselves.

Good luck to all!

Deadline:
You can post your predictions immediately, and can keep editing your entry up until Sun, 27th February 2011 at 11:59pm UAE Time when, alas, this thread must be locked.

The tally is as follows:

Kaytee - 13 (Ahem Ahem)
Ayaa - 10
Shariqq - 8
Rishi - 7

Too bad more people didn't participate. But I hear that Fizz gave his guesses in person to Shariqq and he scored much higher. Shariqq when you get a chance, please do tell how much Fizz scored.

I have his selections at home - didn't carry it to work, but Fizz scored the same as Kaytee: 13 correct guesses.

I shall post his selection here later tonight or tomorrow.

Sorry for not being able to log in all of yesterday to post (I was lazy, but that's all the excuse I have). The fun was in making the predictions (Shariq was a sport and wrote them down) and of course watching it with friends. Shariq and another friend we saw the live telecast with are witnesses to me having placed my bets while the red carpet parade was still on Smiley
