This years Oscars, continuing their declining entertainment value, was blah. Most noticeably, the hosts were uneven - Franco looked bored. He projected the image of someone forced to participate, while his co-host Hathaway, over did her parts smiling, laughing, giggling like she was a host on Disney channel. Overall, they were a bore to watch, and the moment Billy Crystal walked back on stage, you were reminded what the show was missing. The worst bit was probably the opening montage, lazy editing of unfunny clips of the movies. In fact, in this youtube age, everything seems edited to eventually show up as shorts online, like that silly (but I will admit, funny) bit about the lack of musicals this year (featuring faux songs from Harry Potter, Toy Story etc).
About the winners - almost all were pretty easily predictable, the only real upset for me being Hooper winning over Fincher. Really? He's a better director? Oh well, just goes to cement Oscars disrepute.

The best being the
Social Network
musical
I agree, worst Oscar show in recent memory. Years of experimenting, and they don't yet have a decent host. The Globes, not great themselves, were brilliant compared to this show! What a waste of sleep-time.

My favorite moment from the presenters: "I am Bansky" + Mrs Madali.

Seriously, jokes aside, this man should host the next Oscars.

i think there's a line which is not really thin between being funny and being rude...writers run out of jokes being offensive has become normal...what a shame.
However, Justin Timberlake has enough chrisma to host planet earth..

JT
can do anything, he is a talented singer, dancer, comedian, and actor. He is immensely charismatic and lovable. His many guest appearances on
SNL
alone should be enough to secure him the gig of hosting the Oscars. Although I don't think the problem with the Oscars this year was the hosts, because I think the two of them made the most of what they had in hand, but the show itself blew and that is on the writers and producers.

James Franco *is* the worst host I've seen. Including the last year combo of Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin.
