Ive started watching the first season and over the weekend managed to watch 7 episodes. It surely is extremely well written and produced and so far all episodes have ended in cliffhangers, hopefully the seasons last episode does the same.

Did they cop out of showing us some major war scenes or maybe they didnt have enough budget to stage them, but loved the way it ended and Season 2 should be promising.

If you mean the war between Rob Stark and the kingslayer, then yes it is much more detailed in the book. But I think their reasons for not showing it is because it would take too much of time (you can't show a 5-10 minute battle, has to go on for half the episode), and it wouldn't serve the more important purpose of detailing the progress of the characters and the realm - which is their focus. Not saying it didn't save them a few millions though!
Season 2 will show the war. It's not just the result of the battles, but even how they are fought that matters. So we'll get to see what the production really can do!

Actually I read somewhere that their budget got even bigger and the second book has even more battles. I think they know that they have a gigantic hit and that is why they don't see the need for showing their cards this early. They are holding back because everyone is already sold, if you asked for my opinion.

Yes thats what I really meant, they wanted to keep the budget low for Season 1 and if they have a hit on their hands then pump money in Season 2. But how good is Peter Dinklage in that role?

A new trailer - called the "Seven Devils" trailer, for the song it features.

I think my wife likes this show more than me. She constantly asks me, if they arent showing it yet, and I think I've told her over 10 times, that it will start in APRIL.

It is the same in my house. On 1st March, I told her to start counting down the month - she hasn't asked me since (yet!).
