Take a look at the latest Tony Scott/Denzel Washington vehicle. It comes out in November and the trailer looks, well, hyper edited and action packed. Chris Pine and Rosario Dawson also star. Let's hope this one will fare better than The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

Scott movies all *look* alike. Is green his favorite color? Someone should ask him to direct HULK.

Looks really bad, and cheesy. I have come to expect nothing else from Tony Scott.

Just got back from watching this. Surprisingly, it's way much better than one would expect from a Scott film, and definitely far more superior than Pelham. In fact, I'll go as far as saying that this is one of the better nailbiting, edge of your seat actioners I've seen in a while. Despite how the trailer looks, this is actually a more restrained effort from Scott, and his hyperkinetic style is, for a change, used sparingly and only when appropriate, and is complemented nicely by Harry Gregson-Williams' thumping electronic/rock score.

Washington, as expected, oozes charisma with the least required effort, and Pine plays the young newcomer to the railroad scene with quiet confidence. But the star of the film is actually the runaway train, and the last 10 minutes are really, really intense, as the train goes on an elevated track in the heart of Stanton town, where a fiendishly sharp curve in the track means that derailment, and a massive disaster to follow, are almost a 100% certainty.

This is a very good popcorn action-thriller, and one of Scott's best efforts in quite a while. Go watch it -- it's worth it.

Actually some people say it's the best Scott film since Crimson Tide, and although I liked Man on Fire, but I was not really crazy about it, so I can see if this one is a better popcorn flick, cause that revenge tale was anything but. Thanks Oddy for your review, now I can't wait to see it.

animatedude, yes, it's definitely better than Man on Fire, and I agree with those who say it's Scott's best since Crimson Tide. The fact that it's only an hour and a half means that there's no extra padding in the form of needless exposition or dramatic side stories. This is about the train, and the two men who go against all calculated odds and a limited deadline in order to prevent disaster. That's all you need to know to enjoy this film.

i hated this movie with passion.

first, this arguably the most boring Tony Scott movie i have seen since...Spy Game.

Man on Fire kicked some ass.
Domino was a big failure but it's respectable failure.
Deja Vu was garbage but at least it was fun garbage.
The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 despite being average it had Crazy Travolta in it..

Unstoppable is just the Train TV movie of the week with unbelievably predictable boring twist,i can't think of a much recycled crap than this.....and like a give a fuck if Chris Pine dies anyway.

BOYCOTT!
