Devil (Dowdle Bros, 2010)

IMDb link
I know that we really lost all faith in
M. Night Shyamalan
, that is why he is untouchable for the majority of his fans now and dead to many. The new horror film, slotted for a September17th release in the US, is written and produced by him but directed by
John Erick and Drew Dowdle
, who produced and directed
Quarantine
the American remake of
REC
, which was not a bad remake at all.
I don't know about you guys, but this trailer is awesome. So much so that I am willing to ignore the name
Shyamalan
on it and pretend it is not there. I know it is foolish by this point to do so, but really I can't help it.

Should be fine as long as it doesn't have a cameo of him.

May be he turns out to be the Devil. (I am half-kidding.Afterall, he did play the writer whose book would "change the world" in LADY IN THE WATER.)

If it were all in the script, why make the film?

Looks like...another shitty 3D horror movie, but it's not in 3D! My sister called M. Night the next Subhash Ghai due to his cameos...bwahahahaha.

Not a wrong comparison.
Ghai
has made some fantastic movies until the mid-90s, only to become a caricature of his self now. His latter movies are as bad as
Shyamalan
's

Classic grammar mistake -- the subject and verb is not in agreement: "
One
of them is not what
they
seem."
But I see the studio's challenge: if the writers had used use *she* or *him* instead of *they* that would have given away the mystery.
The solution is simple.
"One of them is not human. One of them is THE DEVIL!!!!"
What's wrong with being simple-minded with the tagline if it helps to clarify? Especially since this is a genre movie, not fucking LAWRENCE OF ARABIA. Also, my suggested tagline is kinda awesome.

US English is screwed, but they don't care as long as it sounds 'cool'.

His past two movies have turned a nice profit.
Last Airbender
, as bad as it was, has already done a worldwide business of $225M on a $150M budget. DVD sales yet to come.
The man's ego is far from beaten.
