By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

It's pretty clever, in that the film is based on a book and the "folds" give you that impression in the cover design. And I love the still from the film they used. My only problem with the artwork is how literally "the thin red line" has been taken. You want a *thin* line? We'll fucking give you one! They even made the type *red*. Pretty solid, but unfortunately not a perfect cover for a perfect film.

If it were all in the script, why make the film?

i bet if you unfold the red line on the artwork it will take you to a page where there's this essay by a pretentious critic who explains how bad was the nazi regime and how history repeats itself...etc.

Actually
The Thin Red Line
has nothing to do with Nazis. It was about the battles in the Pacific during World War 2 between America and Japan. It is time you stop throwing the word pretentious willy-nilly.
