i'm sure one of these is an Arab European production  about the 80's war in lebanon and another movie is about an Iranian prostitute

Short Film Corner does not mean the film was *selected*. It is a market and anyone who can afford to send a print is allowed to exhibit in that section, provided it has some intrinsic creative value.

The only films that are truly *selected* belong to CINEFONDATION (STUDENT FILMS), COMPETITION (FEATURES AND SHORTS), OUT OF COMPETITION or UN CERTAIN REGARD. That's it, really.
