We are still waiting for your review of (500) Days of Summer and your reasoning for hating it that much. Anyway, I can't predict whether the reboot would be successful or not, if Sam Raimi can't stop the studio from interfering with his job after giving them two kick-ass Spiderman films, I don't think an up-and-coming director, no matter how talented he is, would stand a chance. They want a fresh meat to kick around a little, it happened before and it will keep happening.

However, my biggest concern is not Webb, it is the fact that they want Robert –Twilight- Pattinson to play Peter Parker. Now I am up for importing talent from the other side of the Bond to play American icons, as long as they, you know, talented, like Christian Bale. However, Robert Pattinson is not a talent to begin with, therefore this would be the biggest clue the new films will suck.

Yes! Yes! Yes! If for no other reason than giving Animatedude some steamy hot wet dreams Grin

Seriously, Anton Yelchin would make a great Peter Parker. He is good looking but not hunky and he is not a jock. He can make a great vulnerable hero who don't attract much attention and you would believe that he'd have trouble getting the girl. Yes that is a great choice Shariq, let's hope they will find a better Mary Jane than Kristen Dunst, which should not be so hard, but let's hope that it would NOT go to Kristen Stewart by default. I hope someone would seriously consider him, but anyway, I have faith in Marc Webb that he will make an inspired choice unless the studio force feed him a Robert Pattinson type

Animatedude, I have never heard of these guys.

Shariq's casting suggestion is the best thing I have ever heard of. Too bad it won't happen.

P.S. Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a phenomenal young actor. Don't diss him!

I completely agree with AK, Joesph Gordon-Levitt is an amazing actors since he was a "little girl", Levitt's words, on 3Rd Rock from the Sun.

I looked up the Dude's objects of wet dreams, The first is a Scottish TV actor, the other is too old to be considered and also a TV actor.

Joesph Gordon-Levitt isn't "young" anymore...and Anton Yelchin is highly likely he will play the part..at least he will end up in the short list.

the guys i mentioned are young and aren't known which is great...seeing how everyone in the world seems to watch or have watched Prison Break, i assume you all heard about Marshall Allman...

Don't forget that you were the one who brought Levitt to the conversation, we merely pointed out that he is a wonderful actor. Your Prison Break Guy is 26 and will be 28 when and if the film is out on time. Anyway, why are we reveling in our own fantasies, it is not like we have a say in the whole issue, lol.
