I think we must crank out at least ONE list before the year's end, and this should be relatively easy and fun to do.

Here are some films I can name off the top of my head:
(will continue to update as more films come to mind)

Watchmen
Where the Wild Things Are

If everyone else suggests a title or two, should not be difficult to come up with 10 picks (+2 'honorable mentions).

We can each contribute 2-3 lines for each movie we nominate. That would comprise the article that we will publish for the WM main website. I'll lead it...far as coordination is concerned.

Transformers 2

I was hoping someone would nominate this (I haven't seen it and refuse to see it).

Worst films of the year (that I saw):

Transformers2: watching it in the cinema was a torture. It was so boring even though it featured so much supposedly great action scenes, I literally fill a sleep several times, and I heard the same from many people who watched that film. It lacked the wit and charm of the first and what was left is the carnage of a silly story and unrelatable characters.

My Bloody Valentine 3D: A film I was so excited to watch and it left me so disappointed and sorry for the money and time I spent. I don't expect great writing or comprehensible story from my horror flicks, and I have so much tolerance for stupidity in them, ask anyone. But that one pushed me to the limits.

8x10 Tasveer: The harder Bollywood try to go Hollywood the more it fail and embarrass itself. A Bollywood film set in Canada that tries to be a thriller, mystery, and supernatural and fails in all accounts. Note to Akshay Kumar, making so many films every year is not really a good idea for a leading man, take your queue from Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Hirthik Roshan.

We almost forgot awesome stinker The Spirit.

In my Frank Miller excitement, I actually saw it last year, but yes, its bad enough to leave a rotten aftertaste that still lingers.

Also, I enthusiastically support the inclusion of both the abysmal Transformers 2 and the torturous, nearly unwatchable horror 3D fuckups of My Bloody Valentine and The Final Destination in this list.

So here are films I am selecting for Worst Films of 2009, based on your suggestions:

Final Destination, The
My Bloody Valentine
Spirit, The
Taking of Pelham 1,2,3
Terminator Salvation
Transformers 2
Watchmen
Where the Wild Things Are

** We need at least 2-3 more nominations.

(I actually would like us to be more imaginative and bold in nominating Worst films; for example, movies such as Transformers 2 or My Bloody Valentine are easy targets, whereas Where the Wild Things Are is more interesting because it also shows up on Best-of lists. Can you guys think of some more?)

Although no body mentioned it but I think X-Men Origins: Wolverine deserves a spot in the list. I found it mildly amusing, but I was highly disappointed with it. There is also Pink Panther 2 which was unwatchable. I am embarrassed just saying that I watched it.
