By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

I would love to see you try and do something about it. You can't really blame people for not trying when your only insight is "SUCKED!"
For the record, I would never call a decade that gave us
The Lord of The Rings Trilogy
, many
Pixar
instant classics,
No Country for Old Men, There Will Be Blood, The Dark Knight, X-Men and X-Men2, Spiderman and Spiderman 2, Oldboy, Memento, In America, Man on Wire, Children of Men, The Lives of The Others, and 28 Days Later
, among many a bad decade. That being said, I think that WM active member can collaborate by the help of an editor (Shariq or Mad for example) to create a decade list, I think it would be a grand idea, and it would make an excellent piece for the main site. What do you think AK?

If that you meant then I am 100% in agreement with you. The 90's were way better and this decade had more negatives than positives.

The internet was a very interesting aspect of 00s. Yes, it was available in the 90s, but to the extent in the 00s with things like wikipedia, google, facebook, and so on.

I thought about compiling a Best Films of the Decade list a few weeks ago, then decided it is silly: because 2010 is one more year of cinema, and why should that year not be included in my list?
I mean, shouldn't such a list come out in the year 2011? That's what I will do.
(Besides, knowing myself, embarking on such a project will mean I have to scour through my personal film journals for weeks before making any kind of list.)

Actually, it should not count 2010, ak.
Because from 2000 to 2009, thats 10 years, therefore, a decade.

I agree... I just realised this isnt merely a new year, its the end of another decade! it gives it the 1999 feeling, without the Y2K crap

Time magazine, among others have dissed this decade as one of the worst in a long time. I agree.
