Vipul Shah's fifth movie after four successes, and first without his favorite actor. Instead, he's got two leads, Ajay Devgan playing his trademark style serious character with dramatic intensity, and Salman Khan, Bollywood's own rockstar-Khan playing a happy-go-lucky naturally talented Rockstar.

London Dreams had been in pre-production for a longtime, mainly with Rajkumar Santoshi in its initial stages. He is known for his strong writing and characters, and hence this was a movie that was highly anticipated from when announced. But when he left the project, Vipul Shah took over and re-wrote it to his sensibilities.

The promos and early-word promise a strong movie. It is expected, especially with the two big "stars" facing off each other for the first time (they didn't share any screen-space in the only other movie they did together).

More about the movie, how good it really is, after I watch it tonight.

The trailers have looked very bland and dark, not my territory, I'm going to skip this.

I wouldn't agree. It's not "perfect". Good, yes, but nowhere near perfect. Too melodramatic and, in some ways, cliched. But it did make a star out of the director. I liked his first movie a lot more.

It was a total copy of 'Woh Saat Din' which was funny, serious and emotional as well. HDDCS was good and paved the way for Sanjay's eccentricities. Aishwariya was gorgeous... Yup, Khamoshi, the Musical was an amazing film...

To me HDDCS is a gorgeous, opulent epic about love, loss and redemption, thats made very well. At it's most basic level, its nothing more than the Pocahontas story set in India - the similarities are uncanny and sometimes, obvious.
