I have a technical question and I was hoping that one of you internet savvy lads can help. Last month I had to format my stupid six years old desktop and after reinstalling WindowsXP (which I still favor over freakin' Vista), whenever I view the forum pages something is different. First the buttons beneath the messages doesn't appear properly and instead I get what you can see in the photo below. But the biggest annoying pain in the ass issue is that whenever I am writing a post, if it reach a certain length it becomes harder and harder to continue writing or editing it on the forum because the last lines becomes hidden and scrolling the post down to finish it doesn't work that well, so I have to write my thoughts on Word then copy and paste. This is fine if you don't have to use the tools like adding a hyperlink, bold, Italian, quotes, etc. But if I wanna use any format tools on the forum then I am screwed. This problem I also noticed using my brother-in-law's laptop and my wife's MacBook.

After this long rambling explanation, does anyone knows what's causes that, is it the IE8 browsers I am using now instead of the IE7 I used before, or is there is a program like Java or whatnot that effecting it?

As Mad indicated, it seems to be a browser issue.

Switch over to Firefox which is the best internet browser (in my humble opinion), or even Google Chrome.

Microsoft Internet Explorer simply sucks!

By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting." David Fincher

I just tried Chrome and it seems to work. There are several reasons why I put up with IE, the first is familiarity and the second is I can receive RSS feed on it and as far as I know Firefox didn't have that feature. Now I will use Chrome on WM till I figure out a better solution. Perhaps I will go back to IE7 which worked just fine in the past.

Chrome is even faster than Firefox. Only none of the vast library of awesum plugins.

First of all welcome back Sammy! I hope your honeymoon was filled of honey Wink

Now about ctrl+scroll idea, it did not work. Let me know what you'll find out after trying IE8 yourself, but I think it is a glitch with the browser, and I heard it happens on Firefox too. The one I used now to write and edit my longer posts is Chrome which works fine in this case.
