Daybreakers (Spierig, 2009)

I'm really really looking forward to it, it's just so much like Blade, but with a clever story.
IMDB Synopsis: In the year 2019, a plague has transformed most every human into vampires. Faced with a dwindling blood supply, the fractured dominant race plots their survival; meanwhile, a researcher works with a covert band of vamps on a way to save humankind.

First, I like Ethan Hawke. Very underrated actor. Second, the story is a refreshing take on the whole humans vs. vampires conflict, an allusion to how industrial nations are still largely dependent on developing nations' oil supply. Third, Placebo's haunting cover of "Running up that Hill" — a version described by one critic as "sounding more like a pact with the Devil than the original deal with God" — is a superb choice for the trailer.
"What happens when there isn't a single drop left?"
Awesome.

In the good old days, when the men of this forum didn't wear rings around their finger, we'd say, this film is worthy of a bash.

Haha!
Fizz, if you check the records, I'm usually the one who initiates bash suggestions. (Whether I actually make it to the bash or not is another matter.)

Fizz if this gets a release here in the cinemas, then we should bash it mainly coz this is in the same mould like Constantine was.

Early word is very encouraging -
100% on RT
It's likely to fall to a far lower (perhaps even more realistic) score, but this its a remarkable way to create buzz by way of previews.

I wanted to bring that up its RT score a few days ago but I thought it is so soon to judge, remember
G.I.Joe
too had more than %80 on RT at the beginning then it fell on its face to a more realistic 30something. Hopefully this one won't fell that bad, 60-70% would be great. All the recent reviews are from horror and Sci-Fi geek bloggers, who in my opinion are the better judges for such films.
The trailer is decent and it is really good seeing
Ethan Hawk
e back in the game.
Gataca
remains one of my favorite Sci-Fi drama of all time, and he is one of my favorite actors of his generation.
