13 songs in What's Your Raashee?
By Taran Adarsh, June 16, 2009 - 08:54 IST
Ashutosh Gowariker is one film-maker who is least perturbed by the length/running time of his films. If a story has to be conveyed most convincingly and if it requires more than 3 hours to narrate it, Ashu would do just that. His last three films - LAGAAN, SWADES and JODHAA AKBAR - had a running time of more than 3 hours. In fact, in the case of JODHAA AKBAR, it's said that Ashu had brought down the running time from almost 4 hours to 3.20 hours.
Now, looks like his latest film WHAT'S YOUR RAASHEE? might follow his earlier films as far as the running time is concerned. In fact, not many are aware that there are as many as 13 songs in WHAT'S YOUR RAASHEE?. "Yes, 13 songs," the talented film-maker confirms. Won't that make it a lengthy experience? "But when have I ever got deterred by the length of the film?" pat comes the reply. Very true!

Jodha Akbar
was crap, tooooo long, really bad script,
Swades
was pretty decent even though it had the hamster.
Lagaan
is gold.

3+ hours of priyanka's bad acting is not enough add to that her boytoy, thanx but no thanx. If I was bored by Hirthik, as charming as he is, I only can imagine what woud I do with that. Somebody should ask Mr. Gowarikar if he would like to join us in the 21st century anytime soon.

Fashion should put Priyanka's acting skills issue to rest, she did a phenomenal job. Also, Hrithik as Akbar was a role of a lifetime, which he embodied very well. Both Priyanka and Hrithik have won all the major awards for lead actors for the above two films respectively.

Fashion
was the weakest attempt by its accomplished director, and
Priyanka Chopra
was a pain to watch in it.
Kangana Ranaut
was better than her by miles!
