I know you guys are all snooty when it comes to this series, but the trailer is just to amazing to be ignored, the images of London landmarks on fire are just gripping:

I for one have enjoyed all the 5 previous movies. However, my favorite is the 3rd "Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban" directed by Alfonso Cuarón, which incidentally was the least successful commercially in the series. May be because it marked the biggest turn toward a darker tone for the saga.
I wish they bring back Cuarón. Anyway Yates is handling the job pretty well. I haven't read past the 3rd book, but many say that the movies actually are improving on the books.

They still make these movies? With all that music and chaos in the trailer, I expected the titles that came up to be "Die Hard 5" or something.
Everyone agrees, the third film was the best. It's our man Cuaron who made the difference. I stopped watching after nearly dozing off during the fourth.

yeah the trailer is amazing but we said this when the previous movie came out too.the third movie is the only good one in this series,so far.
the thing that bugs me about this series:
1)you get critics wanking over it,even the bad ones,i can't believe the last one got i think over 60% over rottentomatoes.
2)you get fans of the books going "oh it's fairy a good movie blah blah" while ppl like me who never read the books sit there wondering what the fuck is going on.
3)they are AWFULLY inconsistent, especially the last 2 movies, just like "Watchmen",you sit there and you don't know what the fuck is happening.
it's been said that "The Half-Blood Prince" book is the best of the series and trailer looks good too, let's hope it's at least better than the last 2.

"There's this whole school of thought that movies are always so great when you're 10 or 12 years old, and the reality of it is, when you're 10 or 12 years old, you've only seen 100 stories. By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

Well Fizz, I am glad your snootiness lived up to my expectations
I have this crazy idea of posting a poll about the most snobbish movie critic on this forum. Who do you think would be crowned?

It's a tradition with the series. The posters and the trailers have always been fantastic - relative to the source. And even with this movie, that's a wonderful trailer. But as always, the movie will be a big let down.

AK could win the King of Snobbish trophy by a mile. Too bad he's disqualified by the fact that he
loved
Mindhunters
.
Oh yes, I love bringing this up at the slightest chance.

I decided to see the trailer Ayaa posted. Is this a videogame? I have seen the first few
Harry Potter
movies, and at least they looked like movies.
