I dont know if this helps you guys, but I recently came across this website, which sells DVD's and Blu Rays online and it is based in Dubai so you save on shipping costs...they have some really good titles on it too.

They launched it on DubaiEye FM sometime back... yeah, decent titles. But they don't match covers with the editions they have exactly, so beware of that.

I wrote to them about that asking them how come they dont mention what region the DVD is from and what special features it has, and the reply was they are all R2 DVD's and they do mention special features on DVDs that have them.

Virgin Megastore (went to the one in DCC) has an absolutely crazy sale where Bluray's are selling for as low as AED 40 (and good titles too) and DVD's for as low as AED 20. Perhaps they are closing down...who knows? Anyway, some of the titles in their DVD's included Tarkovsky's Ivan's Childhood and the masterpiece Andrei Rublev - Criterion Collections no less and numerous other classics.

i don't know about Virgin Megastore in the UAE but i wouldn't be surprised if the one in Bahrain closed down.do they sell R1 DVDs?
