good cast.hopefully it's not long and boring like Batman Begins or long and boring like The Dark Knight.

"There's this whole school of thought that movies are always so great when you're 10 or 12 years old, and the reality of it is, when you're 10 or 12 years old, you've only seen 100 stories. By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

Good God! you guys, both of you, are bricks. You just ruined my mood. Now take your next shots and bash "The Lord of The Rings", then walk all over "E.T." and the original "Star Wars". come on go ahead!!

Aww come on, I love all those movies you've listed. Batman Begins was amazing. TDK was very good too...but ultra stretched.

No Ozzy don't you weasel out of what you really wrote. Animatdude original statement was, and I quote, "or long and boring like The Dark Knight", and your reply was "Agree with TDK tho". Now I know you guys are entitled to have your foot in your mouth anytime you like, and I too am entitled to call you names from time to time, may be give you the finger as well, whenever I wake up in the morning and read such foolish nonsense.

TDK was too anal for its own good. Nolan (Jonathan) should learn a thing or two about superhero movies from Del Toro.

Yeah yeah whatever!! I can take the opinion of the 17 and a half individuals in the whole world that didn't like the Dark Knight, or I can trust the awesomeness that I saw once in theatre and then on DVD, which, unfortunately for you guys, seems the consensus for the rest of the sane world critics and masses alike.

The second time I watched TDK...it was on a 40" LCD...and I fell asleep half way. Compare that to Batman Begins, which I must've watched around 5 times by now, and still enjoy it.

well Ozzy, I can see that I am in the minority on this forum, and only on this forum, when it comes to the Dark Knight. So let's agree to disagree on this matter. Art was, is, and always will be subjective. You guys are friends for a long time, obviously share a somehow similar approach, taste and view when it comes to blockbuster films. I can be the dissenting voice when it comes to it, and that is how I will deal with it, as a wiseass on this panel advised me earlier.

I didn't "hate" TDK as much as some people here did, probably for the sole reason of it featuring one Heath Ledger. But to even entertain the notion that TDK is on par with classics like LOTR, E.T., or Star Wars is not just far-out madness, it's fucking blasphemy.

I was just making a point, and sometimes you have to stretch and exaggerate to do that. I adore LOTR and they are absolutely my very top movies of all time, especially Fellowship of the Ring. I just ranked my top movies of all time on Facebook, and the list goes like this: LOTR, Godfather II, Magnolia, Braveheart an Wall.E. So even I acknowledged that it was not even my favorite 2008 film. But I will rank the Dark Knight as my favorite superhero movie ever and I will stand by my statement. Why does that bother you guys I have no idea, it is like you see me as a philistine or the village idiot.

No one called you a philistine or a village idiot but yourself. And no one is bothered by the fact that you like
The Dark Knight
. Here on the board, in case you have not noticed, we relish dissent and the debate that follows. Ayaa, try not to be precious with your opinion and you will soon find enjoying yourself even more here! And, puh-lease, stop alluding to yourself as 'the new guy' -- you have 120 posts and it is a forgone conclusion that you are now part of the WM crack team!
