Glad it's from an original script, and that it's a mind-movie.
Also, it's setup at WB, which could mean anything...

Well if it is Nolan, then it will be great. His only film that I saw and wasn't so crazy about is Insomnia. As for The Prestige it was a very underrated movie. Everybody was unfairly comparing it to The Illusionist, which was by far an inferior movie. Now that he teamed up with DeCaprio we will wait eagerly for more than a year to see that. I don't doubt for a second that it would be great sci-fi, and God knows we didn't see one of those for a while now. Boy that Leo
must be with the best agent there, cause I haven't seen him in a disappointing film since The Beach.

not really,he is just Warner Bros whore atm,so any Warner Bros big project goes out to him first.
if you watch some of his early films when he was young you will realize the best of him is yet to come.i'm excited about this project for sure but he needs to stop making safe choices.he needs to do something different like a comedy.something quirky and fun like Brad Pitt in Burn After Reading.

By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

There is no way Brad Pitt is a better actor than Leo. The best part that he played and I really admired him for would be 15 years ago when he was in "12 Monkeys", and then he did "The Fight Club" and Snatch which were pretty good too for him, but those too were 10 years ago. While Leo didn't sink with the "Titanic". He had interesting parts in "Gangs of New York", "Blood Diamond", "The Aviator", and yes "The Departed", under his belt. Even before "Titanic" he had "What's Eating Gilbert Grape", which all make up a hell of a resume for anyone let alone a 34 years old who could have had a big carrier utilizing only his good look and charisma, instead he worked on projects that showcased his acting chops very well.
I know that it is fashionable to diss superstars like Leo and Tom Cruise, but that doesn't make them less talented or deserving of their stature

you didn't read what i typed didn't ya?
first, i didn't compare Brad Pitt to Leo.i said Leo needs to do something quirky and different instead of doing safe roles with big directors and gave Brad Pitt in Burn After Reading as an example, that's all.
second,i didn't diss Leo.Leonardo Dicaprio is one of my favorite actors of all time.in fact,i kept defending him over the years.
third,Leo gave an amazing underrated performance in Titanic.too bad the oscars thought "well..we love Titanic..we love everything about this movie..from the editing to the music to Kate Winslet but you know what? we just don't like the hero of the film" which is kinda funny.i personally think Titanic wouldn't have worked without Leo.
Leonardo Dicaprio gave other underrated performances in movies like "This Boy's Life" and "Total Eclipse".his performance in "The Aviator" is one of the best performances of all time in my opinion.
still...i think the best of him is yet to come.i personally wish if he can do a comedy.

Then we don't have a problem, you love the guy, I love the guy. As for his choices, I think he has made great choices so far, and he's still 34 so he still has got time to make quirky films. Anyway, he is a pretty boy, so quirky won't be an easy sell. May be he will finally get that Oscar when he do the part you wish for, may be.

Leo's boyish looks are a deal breaker for serious roles. Every time he does an
Aviator or Departed or Body of Lies
he needs to grow a beard to look old. That just doesnt work.

Yeah, I agree with Kaytee. Problem with Leo is that he tries desperately to act in roles he is physically not suited for (another example is Nicholas Cage trying to be an action hero).
I like him, he's trying his best, but he just doesn't cut it. Even in a movie like "Revolutionary Road", he looked like a KID.

yeah i kinda agree with you guys.but he did that role in The Departed to earn some street credit.i remember when The Departed came out, lots of ppl said his performance was great.of course the majority of ppl who said that are not familiar with his other work.
and i thought his accent in "Blood Diamond" was shit.in fact,i was talking to this South African guy a few weeks ago...i asked him about it and he said "does his accent in the film sound anything like me?" i said "NO!" he is like "yeah it was terrible".
still...he gets my full attention for whatever he does.his performance in "Revolutionary Road" is so underrated.he should get an oscar for the "i can make you happy" scene.

South Africans sound...different. It's sorta like a mix between Irish and British. IMHO. Haven't watched this flick either.

Edward Zwick
- what would you expect anyway from him. If WW2 Japs can speak American, then nothing wrong with a South African confused in his accent.

Shaping up to be, possibly, the worst ensemble ever. Though, in all honesty, I remember feeling the same thing when
Batman Begins
was being casted, and that turned out just fine.

Trio in talks for 'Inception'
-- Cotillard, Page, Murphy look to join DiCaprio
By MICHAEL FLEMING
Warner Bros. is in talks with Marion Cotillard, Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page to join the cast of "Inception,"
which Christopher Nolan wrote and will direct as his next film.
Leonardo DiCaprio has already been set to star.
WB bought the spec preemptively before other studios got a crack at the material, which kept Warner in business with the filmmaker after smash hit "The Dark Knight".
Production begins this summer for 2010 release.
The subject matter has been kept under tight wraps, with the studio describing the film as a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind.
Nolan will produce with Emma Thomas.
The film is Nolan's first with Cotillard and Page, but he is reteaming with Murphy, who played the villain Scarecrow in "Batman Begins," with a cameo in "The Dark Knight." Murphy just completed "Peacock" and "Perrier's Bounty."
Cotillard will next be seen in the Michael Mann-directed "Public Enemies" and just completed the Rob Marshall-helmed musical "Nine."
Page just teamed with Murphy in "Peacock" and starred in the Drew Barrymore-directed "Whip It!"
