Why Uwe Boll.. why ..

You are a student in a high school who have plenty of friends & enjoying your life. Suddenly you become a part of a reality tv show, where you are stranded on an island.
How to win? You have to kill off all the other students and become the only survivor.
You'll resist and not kill? Well, someone else will kill you then.
You'll co-operate with other students? Well.. special devices are surrounding your neck, one click, you go BAM.

This is what Battle Royale is all about. One of my all time favorite mangas.

The manga is full of characters, an entire classroom of friends and enemies, who have no chance but kill their each other to survive.

It is intense, full of emotions, action, thrill and sense of survival.

Added to that, it's pretty graphic (sex & gore). One of the few M rated mangas that I found in the UAE and the most hardcore.

It was translated from Japanese to English by the famous Keith Griffin.

Originally, BR is a novel, which was made into a series of comic books and finally two movies. Still some differences exist between the three versions, and the translated version of the manga.

I bloody love this manga. The story is cool, and provides a lot of background to all of the characters, even though there is a lot of them.
The gore and sex is extreme. Haha was kinda amusing to see what happens exactly to a face after it was shot Smiley

And there is Hardcore Souma. Her existance is good enough Smiley

I highly recommend buying this manga. I've already found up to volume 7 of it in Sharjah. Don't know if 8 *the one which goes crazy with the sex content* would ever be released here .. the others are no where to be found either. Guess I'll just amazon them once I get the cash.

Anyone read them before though?

Some info:
Creator: Koshun Takami (novel), Masayuki Taguchi (Manga), Keith Giffen (English Adaption)
Length: 15 Volumes
Genre: Action
Rating: M

those two statements sound so improbable together.

If you can't convince them, confuse them.

I didn't watch the movie. But what I know is that there is a difference in "who kills who", much more violence & sex and more background to the students lives and personalities. You get to relate to them much more.
