Chunky Pandey to star with Johnny Depp

 
Chunky Pandey has confirmed that he is a part of the Hollywood film Shantaram based on the book written by Gregory David Roberts. Chunky plays the role of a Bollywood actor in the film. This will probably be Chunky’s first Hollywood film in his career.

Shantaram is the story of an Australian guy sentenced to 19 years of prison who escapes to Mumbai, where he is renamed as Shantaram. He then begins his criminal career again connecting with the Mumbai underworld. The film is a big venture made under the banner of Warner Bros. The film stars Johnny Depp in the lead role of Shantaram. The film also stars Emily Watson.

Bharadwaj serves none other than director of the Godfather

 
 
Here is the scoop of the month. So we talk about Indian’s going international in the film world. Well, now the tables have turned and how much they have turned.

Francis Ford Coppola, director the probably the best gangster film of all time The Godfather needed some outsourcing to be done for his latest film Youth without Youth. Apparently some scenes had to be shot in India but Coppola could not make it here and so he asked none other than Vishal ‘Omkara’ Bharadwaj to shoot certain scenes for him. Bharadwaj along with his team as well as Coppola’s second unit shot the film in Mumbai from September 6 to 8.

Bharadwaj was very happy with this development and when Coppola had asked him how much remuneration he would charge, Bharadwaj politely declined and said it was an honour to serve you.

Youth without Youth is a pre-WWII drama where a major incident turns a professor into a fugitive.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in India 

The film adaptation of Mariane Pearl’s A Mighty Heart, who is the wife of American Journalist Daniel Pearl, is going to be shot in India. Angelina Jolie who will be playing the role of Mariane, will be in India on October 1, along with boyfriend Brad Pitt and their three kids. The hottest Hollywood couple along with their kids will be in Pune for a month or so, for the shoot.

The film also stars Irfan Khan and Aly Khan who play important characters in the film.
