Inglourious Basterds (Tarantino, 2009)

The full cast list from today's official press release for the movie (carrying QT's infamously misspelled title
INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS
):
Brad Pitt, Diane Kruger, Mélanie Laurent, Christoph Waltz, Daniel Brühl, Eli Roth, Samm Levine, B.J. Novak, Til Schweiger, Gedeon Burkhard, Paul Rust, Michael Bacall, Omar Doom, Sylvester Groth, Julie Dreyfus, Jacky Ido, August Diehl, Martin Wuttke, Richard Sammel, Christian Berkel, Sönke Möhring, Michael Fassbender, Mike Myers, Rod Taylor, Denis Menochet and Cloris Leachman
. (Yes, Frau Blücher herself.)
Also, the official plot synopsis:
INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS begins in German-occupied France, where Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Shosanna narrowly escapes and flees to Paris, where she forges a new identity as the owner and operator of a cinema.
Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own...

If it were all in the script, why make the film?

I thought
Inglourious Basterds
was to be the story of the two brothers
Tarantino
and
Buscemi
from their respective QT movies...

Thats what I always thought - except I think its the Travolta and Michael Madsen characters from Pulp Fiction and Reservoir dogs who were brothers. Buscemi looks like a wimp compared to these tough guys.

I've watched 2 trailers, and it looks so fucking lame. As pointless and messy as the Crank 2 trailer.

this is pure immoral hokum immersed in chaotic frenzy with no conscience whatsoever and invoking not a glimmer of hope for a planet drenched in innocent blood as this demands more gore than can fill all the oceans and still there will be more ,where every character is a cheap ,stinking ,deceptive venomous blast from hell, motivated by murder alone ,whether a victim or a tyrant is not their responsibility as they kill anyone they desire as they are at war,
the cultural kitsch here is confounding from leni riefenstahl to dietrich ,all are mentioned and yet the acting is boarish and not worth a penny ,only the two actresses at times seem to take it seriously but they too slip into a ruckus of melodrama and acrimony with gusto.
LT.aldo rey [pitt]takes 8 jews to france behind german lines and scalps soldiers ,smashes the skulls of officers with baseball bats and disembowels them with each man targeted to set a trophy of hundred german scalps in mininimum .
there is no spirit or light in the script as it is a satanic ritual by demonic dark and dastardly bastards with no regard for any human values or tradition .
it has no sense of any proportion or shame and any logic or any ability to debate war, persecution or honour and the vision of human spirit is null and void in an environment of gleeful torture and total disrespect of the laws of divinity -which is left festering at the threshold of self-indulgent ego mania of TARANTINO and pitt's arrogance in assuming they are making an actual movie masterpiece but that assumption is as much of a fantasy as the wreck that has resulted from the pedantic whims of these archaic atrocities which even borrow the beret worn by pitt from a famed 60s classic but it really succeeds only to produce a cheap imitation and a loathsome caricature of cinema, and the war genre was never so shamefully exploited even by goebbels as even he had more taste and class than tarantino and pitt -a total shambles from editing to performances to the poorly executed action and the finale is hilariously bad .
this is not even worthy of anything but woebegone accursed lamentation from a sickened audience who like me felt like throwing up when they were not totally bored by the absolutely inept craftmanship and the stupendously ludicrous dialogue from three european states -french german and english with some crinminaL ITALIAN pronunciation by brad pitt as well.
a movie that insults humanity and is a deviant and amusing outrage to logic and factual history .
if the jews were indeed the atrocious characters they have been portrayed here to be, than my sympathy lies with the nazis and third reich .
lastly the movie is stolen from YOUNG LIONS -then the kino gutting is borrowed from a bolly thriller -SATYA ,AND LASTLY -BRAD PITT with his wrinkles and bloated face has mimicked MARLON BRANDO from a famous western which you know very well -but he is such a penurious and unfortunate non-talent that he cannot even come close in proximity to xeroxing the great brando -
an abysmal ,immoral travesty of human race and excremental cinema at it's worst .
indeed the name applies to the whole team and is an apt title to describe anyone associated with this infantile sadomasochistic disjointed interlude ascribed in the name of cinema .
this belongs to the darkest ages of cinema history both intellectually and technically and as for any theosophical aspects i do not think tarantino is familiar with that lexicon .
brad pitt forgot his botox too as he looks uglier tha malkovich here with lines and wrinkles running from eyes to neck galore .
it is sad to see jewish holocaust victims being exploited in an evil whim to breed satanic messages -
guised in a conflict which is supposed to be between right and wrong but actually this becomes an accursed attempt to taint the good side and induce a conflict in the hearts of the humanists -like start a war amongst the pure by concluding good cannot win unless it becomes evil, the philosophy followed by many evil regimes today .
the true god for jews, christians and muslims is the same as for other humanity and in no scripture is it allowed to torture and murder prisoners and then mutlate their dead body in a celebration of evil mockery -tarantino has gone well beyond the limits of morality and challenged divinity by this vulgar exorcism .

Kaykay, that is good insight. It would be more readable too if you were particular about, if nothing else, using Capitals to start every new sentence. Also, may I ask, since the film is not out yet in Dubai, where did you actually see it?
Finally, when opening new threads (and I'm highly surprised no thread for this existed in the first place, at least I couldn't find it using the conventional search option), we like to name the threads as:
Film Title (Director, Year)
Thanks as always for your inputs and keep em coming.

You labelled
Brad Pitt
"a penurious and unfortunate non-talent". Have you not liked his peformance in any of his movies, ever?
