As you all know, I am a HUGE fan of this show. Don't laugh, but THE NEXT GENERATION (TNG) has also been instrumental in shaping my beliefs about life and living, and the (ideal) future of mankind.

Although I've seen all 7 seasons (and reviewed all the theatrical movies, in the Sunset Blvd. section), I am once again embarking on the USS Enterprise with Capt. Picard:

I will begin rewatching TNG from Season 1 thru Season 7, and will be reviewing each episode. This will take precedence over my delayed X-FILES project.

Some of you will remember that I pimped this show really really hard a year or two ago. Well, this is my last attempt: Mad, I specially appeal to your sensibilities. I am confident you will find TNG not only entertaining, but -- maybe, just maybe -- as potent and significant as I think it is.

I'll begin posting the episode reviews starting next week.

I have always wanted to embark on this. But I dont think I could do it so soon after my X-Files project.

I think I'll leave this project for 2009, BUT this means that you will HAVE to do this. I am looking forward to reading your reviews!

Rest assured, I am definitely doing it.

The reason I was pushing you to see it is that there are several philosophical ideas in the series that are worthy of discussion. But, yes, whenever you get round to it.

Wow, that's an amazing coincidence. I've bought 3 seasons of this over the last month and have been absolutely savoring it over my weekends. Look forward to reading your reviews, AK

Did I mention I finished all 7 seasons a couple of months ago? Loved 'em. Lotsa fillers though. I watched the Family Guy episode today which featured the whole Star Trek TNG cast...brilliant, and very funny!

Not to compare the two... I loved TNG and watched all 7 seasons full, but still, for a hard hitting human drama playing out in a sci-fi/space/futuristic setting, Battlestar Galactica wins by a clear mile.

Picard is great, but if given the choice, I'd rather serve under Admiral Adama.
