Dhoom 2
[/b][/url]

We all waited for it - Dhoom 2. While the film is all set to release this November, the first trailer of the film makes your wait more raring.

As Yash Chopra's name flashes onscreen, the trailer opens with the background voiceover of a news reporter reading out about a major diamond robbery and what's next on this big burglar's agenda?

A money train races across a deserted land.
And this thief is roller-skating behind.
That's Hrithik Roshan for you - the center of attraction of this reloaded action ride

As the reworked version of the title track plays, the other lead characters are introduced.
Abhishek Bachchan as the smart cop
Aishwarya Rai in a slim and slick avatar
Uday Chopra going shirtless
and
Bipasha Basu in the Lara Croft getup

They are back in action.
Yea, in literal sense! The action just gets bigger and better. More gadgets and gizmos. Slicker automobiles. And Hrithik roller-skating with remarkable élan, throughout.

While a bikini clad Bipasha sizzles onscreen, Aishwarya doesn't exactly get in the bikini mode (as was largely speculated) but her two piece costume is as good as one.

The basic theme track is retained. So is the movie logo font.

“Tumse milke bahut mazaa aayega.
I think we will have more fun”, says Abhishek pointing towards Hrithik
And from what appears from the trailers, even the audiences will be saying the same.

The only line that Hrithik utters in the trailer is the last one, “Game's not over” as he glides down with Aishwarya Rai from a deep cliff.

We are looking forward to this game…

Not that Dhoom was Matrix, but D:2 looks to be to Dhoom what Matrix 2 was to Matrix.

Yes. Before you see D:2.
I thought Dhoom was pretty good. In a brainless way.

The promo looked very slick... too much buzz about aishwariya in a two piece and bipasha in a bikini...

First few friends who saw it call it CRAP! And as expected, taran adarsh gives it a 4.5 of 5. This MUST be real bad, then.

I watched it yesterday, and I have only one word for it: Bakwaas
The creators of this movie have focussed SO hard on trying to make it look cool, and tragically have failed since most of the main cast just fall short of being as cool as thier charcaters have been whored to be.
This entire movie is yet another lame attempt among the  hundreds i've seen for bollywood to try and show that they can also be "cool". The problem is that with thier target audience, they probably work -- the masses who don't know how the west actually defined "cool".

Ok, the good points of the movie:
1) HRITHIK! i'm beginning to doubt my sexual orientation after watching this movie! - the dude looks THAT frigging cool... he's sculpted his body to greek god status, after bringing his body fat levels to what looks like below 5%. And the guy is the only one in the movie who actually IS as cool as theyr' trying to portray. Shreq - this guy is probably to me now, what salman is to you Tongue - the symbol of cool in bollywood. Well, maybe him and John abraham.
2) the babes - yes, loads of skin and the leading ladies don't disappoint. there are even scenes on the beaches of Rio where bipasha basu is in a lovely brazillian two piece. She's also toned her body down to compete with Jessica Simpson
3) the comedy - and of all the people, it's Uday Chopra - mr. neal and nikki - who is the comic relief. Probably takes advantage of the funny lines written for him, and the fact that in front of the brooding AB pretty much anyone would look like Robin Williams. But luckily for us he fits the role of the love-sick simpleton mechanic who tries to fit in to a world of cops and robbers. Except that I've never seen that buff a body on a mechanic, but then reality is not one of the strong points of this movie - which i will get into in a bit.

The minus  points(drumroll please):
1) the action - yes, im listing it here. The director needs to go back to school and pass his 10th standard physics exam. The moron clearly has no idea how gravity works. I've seen toddlers playing with action figures who have shown more realistic action scenes.
2) Ash n AB Jr. - Ash and AB Jr. have the exact opposite problems: Ash is all looks, no cool attitude. AB Jr. is no looks, all attitude (which too, he's nicked off his old man). Ash is as plastic as ever. I whole heartedly agree that she's a supermodel - but crap as an actress.
3) the plot: what plot? The premise of the movie wasn't worth calling a plot.

1.5 / 5 - Unless you are a real starving for some female skin or fashion tips, do not watch this movie.

Avoid this at all cost. Yes the girls were hot and Aish never looked this good. But other than that I had no idea what was going on. The story was soo dumb and the stunt just YUCK!

Boycott!

I'll repeat Kaytees two words: YUCK, BOYCOTT!

Absolutely Pathetic movie. It reminded me of MIB-2, about how much a sequel can be messed up.
