The Wire: Season 5 (HBO, 2008)

It is kinda disappointing to see this brilliant cop drama end. Easily Season 5 is the best of the lot. Maybe coz the writers knew that they had to give the show a closure, they tied up every string and gave us hope for new things to come too. We see successors for Omar, Bubbles, McNulty and Daniels step up giving us hope that maybe in the future the studios will like to revive this cock busting, ass whopping crime drama.

With corruption running so high up in the city of Baltimore, the good guys always finish last while the bad guys are the ones who always survive.

Im not going to repeat about the acting and the production of the show because that really never changed in all 5 seasons, it remains consistent throughout. But I need to mention a certain Marlo Stanfield. If you thought that Avon Barksdale was ruthless wait till you see Marlo Stanfield. He is the definition of the word stone cold. He does not care about anyone but himself. Ruthless mothafucker.

Brilliant show and one that deserved to watched by everyone on this forum.
