Directed by Christopher Nolan, based on Christopher Priest's brilliant book, and starring Christian Bale. (Damn, if only my name started with Chris, I'd be cool too).

This is all you need to know. Get excited.

US release date: 20 October 2006

I think its funny that there are no posters available for this film. The marketing has been zero considering it comes out in two months. (I noticed it says "limited" for its 20 Oct 2006 release).

I Googled and Googled and Googled. All I got was the trailer and this crummy official site from Touchstone Pictures.

That poster is wrong.

Perhaps the marketing people are trying to move away from overt comparisons to "The Illusionist" which came out first.

kaytee's question is valid. I know this only because I've read the book - the thing is to "watching (the hands of an illusionist) closely" because that's where the 'magic' is.

They're having great trouble marketing this film. Again, trying to move away from the look of "The Illusionist."

That said - I quite like this silly, psychedelic poster!

Its a good poster, but I think the idea of an illusion being used in the poster about magicians only came to them after they saw the great (and better) poster to the Illusionist.

The first reviews are not very promising. And the marketing efforts are not at par either. This could really hamper the business for them.
