Well, its about projecting mid air. Look at the grab ak posted. The goldfish is a mid air projection.
Its not true 3d, but if you look at the video, it can be made interactive.
Imagine pointing in mid air and moving a mouse, or conrolling WiMP buy just clicking in mid air

Oh yeah - It was as soon as you entered, on a contraption that was waist-high. The game was like the characters were out of Dune or something. Oh I remember shouting "Look Left!! Behind You!!"

I had done a presentation on Virtual Reality gaming when I was in college - this was way back in 2001. And then it was sufficiently advanced to make it an every-man technology within 3 years. We're nowhere close

there was something called VRML which was supposed to be the next big thing for the internet....dunno but i guess it died a quick silent death i remeber that cowboy game at sinbad ! bang opp the first street fighter with those massive buttons! aaw.....brings back memories....was a member with them at that point...
