TEJA mein hoon, Mark idhar hai !!

« on: May 06, 2008, 04:18:PM »

Nine Inch Nails surprised fans on Monday by posting a free download of an entire new album, titled The Slip, on NIN.com with a simple note from frontman Trent Reznor: ''Thank you for your continued and loyal support over the years — this one's on me.'' The 10-song album is offered in various formats, including MP3, with no digital rights management (meaning the tracks can be freely shared). The group plans to release a hard-copy of the disc in stores in July. NIN manager Jim Guerino told Billboard.com that Reznor has been in a ''prolific phase and we didn't want 'business' to get in the way of getting the art in the hands of the fans.'' To get a download of The Slip, which comes complete with a PDF of artwork and lyrics, fans enter an e-mail address, where they are sent a link that provides access to the various formats.

Excellent; many thanks for posting this, Kaytee.

I've been listening to NIN's Ghosts: I-IV for several days now, and hope to write about it soon.

P.S. For anyone trying to log on to NIN's website, their servers are taking a real beating. Looks like everyone wants to get their hands on the new album...

For gaming fans/enthusiasts, Nine Inch Nails did the excellent (and scary!) score/soundtrack for Doom 3. Reznor is a huge Doom fan.

If you can't convince them, confuse them.
