I do 2-3 books at a time (this system has been working well for me so far)
Here's what I'm reading now:
The Fountain
, Williams & Aronofsky
The Ruins
, Scott Smith
Man Who Heard Voices: Or, How M. Night Shyamanalan Risked His Career on a Fairy Tale
, Michael Bamberger

The trailer triggered me into reading this, a book I have owned for a few months now.
Half-way through - enjoying it immensely.

I have another friend who reads 2-3 books at one time. I've tried this with two books - but it never really worked for me. After a few days, I ended up fascinated with one more than the other.
I've actually even lost interest in ever continuing the other (
Frank Herbert
's
Dune
) now.

5 hours of relentless reading to get to and finish this astounding book. Absolutely splendid. I can so easily imagine
Nolan
as being the best man to direct this. Wow.

A million little pieces
by James Frey
Extremely well written, but with a very, very redundant form of first person narrative that fails to keep you interested for too long. I alway thought a book that was entirely from the POV of the narrator (in this case the author) would be very interesting to read, but this book so far isn't, even though the self scatching, scorching tone of the author is wonderful to behold. Final thoughts, on finishing this book might be different.

With books, it’s my personal policy not to judge until I've finished. Unlike movies, books are a more intellectual experience (not sensory, difficult to feel the *rhythm*) and it woudl be unfair to say anything until the end.
Once I'm done, I'll report right back here!

Yeah so why did u post ur opinon now...
Because buddy, this thread is about the book you're reading *at the moment* (read title again....). Its not unusual to form an intial opiion of the book which may differ from what you think of it when it ends.

Relax buddy I just think it ws unfair 4 u to comment on the book when u have not even finishd it. Becoz u said urself above that u may change ur opinion so why try an review million little peices now huh?
By the way the title of this topic is What I Am Reading NOW...not "at the moment". Its different. So u should read the title again hahahaha

I'll leave it to you to sort out the semantics of the topic thread.
But I will have my final say on this topic - its my comment and therefore mine to make when I want. Not for you to tell me when I should.
Capiche?
With that out of the way...what interesting book have you picked up recently? (I ask in good spirit ofcourse).

I will alos have my final say then hope u dont mind plz. I didnt try to insult u dont get me wrong fizz. Its ur opinion I will not deny it but dont expect me to lie down an take everything u feed us. If it is ur rite to comment then I have the rite to debunk what is to me halfbaked and conflicted opinons. I am a new member on this board and it appears as if u came after me for saying somethin that you think I did wrong. So yes I will Capiche if u Capiche, LOL

Wierdo - you can ofcourse debunk someone else's opinion here. That is the main reason behind these forums. I'm sure over the course of time we would have some classic arguments recorded in these pages. But debunk with valid points. Don't just say you loved the book - tell us why you loved it too (ofcourse, without spoilers).
Flicker
has an interesting cover. What is it about?

Thanks Shariqq I appreciate it.
Flicker
is a brilliant book and has a story that covers our fascnation with cinema and how one professor obsessed with german expresionism goes on the trail of a movie director and he and his girlfriend come across bizzare charactrs that seem rite out of bad horror movies! V. trippy, lots of insights into obscure kind of cinema..I have finished readin it so I dont guilty abt singing its praises
I think Darren Aronofsky is tryin to make it into a movie.
