so i stole some pix from another message board...
how cool is this now? still not sure whether i should get this or wait for the ultimate set with the heart of darkness docuemntry.which is likely won't be out anytime soon.
Quote
Producer Kim Aubry explained the situation regarding "Hearts of Darkness": "The story with inclusion of 'Hearts' is complex and legal. When the rights situation gets straightened out (with that wonderful film), I am sure it will become available again as it must. It just couldn't happen in this time window for our set."

"There's this whole school of thought that movies are always so great when you're 10 or 12 years old, and the reality of it is, when you're 10 or 12 years old, you've only seen 100 stories. By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting."

Criterion Collection wants to do "Heart of Darkness." But Coppola feels that the doc makes him look like a egomaniac. That's what holding up the release in R1 land. As soon as Coppola gives the green signal, CC will release it.

If it were all in the script, why make the film?

oh iam not worried about that.i don't think a guy who was an executive producer on the Jeepers Creepers movies would mind to make some more cash out of something even if it makes him egomaniac!

My favorite movie of all-time, the local Fry's here has it for 14.99 U.S. so I'll buy it within the next few weeks.

still not sure if there will be a DVD release for this.
P.S. just like what Roger Ebert said about the 4-disc extended editions of LOTR, "get a life ppl!".
