Brilliant fucking show. The last 3-4 episodes gave me goosebumps especially after something dramatic happens to a narco. This has to be the best Crime drama out there, screw Sopranos, The Shield, or whatever pulp is out there, this is the real deal. The acting is top notch, the direction (Brad Anderson stops by too) is brilliant, the writing is captivating, the way the whole show is shot is beautiful.

Season 2 here I come, and looking at where McNulty went I am assuming this time shit falls apart on water.

OK, so I watched the Pilot last night. Hooked as a hooker on Annual Hookers Day. McNulty is the shit. For an English actor, his Baltimore accent is flawless.

Love the harsh realism (helped in no small part by the ubiquitous profanity). Maybe that's one reason why this show never won any major awards, yet had critics jacking off like a Saudi adolescent who's just discovered how to bypass his ISP's proxy.

Fuck sleep. I predict a 3-4 episode marathon tonight.

We need more people watching this show...It deserves awards but I think Oddy is right about the profanity and thus it being shunned away...But unfortunately that is Baltimore, a city of blacks, run by blacks, and that is what i love about the show, it is extremely realistic and believeable.

I will watch this after I finish X-Files, which will take time, but I like knowing there is something to watch after X-Files.
