woah! the poster looks fantastic!
hope the movie is too....

She looks horrible and whorish.
With the exception of Omkara (maybe), she's always looked like that.

I still have those feelings for her Tongue
but she did an excellent job in Omkara..and her portrayal of Dolly, was beautiful.
and she looked rocking in the Don's music video. Hate her pout and attitude though

Kareena was understated in OMKARA, which worked in her favour... everytime she pouts and tosses her head and mouths off EVERY dialouge in the same dismissive manner, she looses respect as an artist... there were other movies as well where she was tolerable... but yeah, she looks very good in the song, and does full justice to the modern version...

I prefer this over Jaan e Man anyday. I like Farhan Akhtar and for once SRK is doing something different. Will be interesting.

This one releases on the 19th.

I wasnt impressed with the promos of Don... going for it on friday... will let u guys know what I thought of it on Saturday... As an action film Dhoom 2 looks better... as a Don SRK looks puny... I prefer Jaan-E-Man promos to Don's... I guess both films will do well and find their audience, but judging by Farhan's track record, his film will be good but may/may not do well... his others didnt do well but i liked both of them...

DON - Review

So its finally out, and I finally saw it... in a nutshell, I liked it... It worked in most ways... in some ways it didnt... I wouldnt rate it very highly, but its definitely worth a shot...

SRK does well, he slips into being his annoying self a little, but for the most part does a different role this time... Priyanka is sure to shock with her stunts, which are done very well... Boman is excellent... energetic... Kareena is good in a short role, looks a bit plump ;-) Arjun Rampal has done a fine job... The songs are very well shot and choreographed... They dont look like they are from a Farhan Akhtar film, a very different approach... The Direction is good, slick, the film becomes a bit slow at times... there are enough twists and turns to keep the audience going though...

Watch it, but dont compare it to the original... otherwise you wont like it at all!

How can you not compare it to the Original?

I watched it yesterday too and I thought it was trash. SRK was horrible, in no way does he look like a Don, Farhan's first choice of Hritik Roshan as Don would have been perfect for this. Arjun Rampal and Kareena Kapoor have blink and miss roles and they both failed to make any impact. That scene with Boman and Arjun in the hotel room had me in splits, how could he have such a change of heart. Priyanka Chopra's role is just to look hot and give Don aka Vijay company. I dont even know what Isha Kopikar was doing in the movie.

The only saving grace of the movie was Boman Irani who once again proves that he is so versatile that he can play any character. His last 4 movies have him playing 4 different characters - Being Cyrus (Parsi), Lage Raho Munnabhai (Sardar), Khosla Ka Ghosla (Real Estate Agent) and now Don (Cop). He was brilliant.

Overall I think Farhan Akhtar was sold out and is out to make money this time especially after his previous two movies didnt do too well. Sad to see that happen.

All Gloss and no Soul make Don a horrible movie.

Pass at all cost, watch it on DVD.

Yeah DON has got extremely mixed reviews... and yes it does seem like an attempt to jump on the commercial bandwagon to make some money... I have heard better reviews of Jaan-E-Mann and want to watch it in the Eid holidays... Look forward to your reviews guys... Happy Diwali and Eid Mubarak !

Hehe... but he also thinks 'Jaan-E-Mann' is very good... which I have heard is even worse... the overseas box office has liked Don more... the numbers are out...

I haven't seen the movie yet - but I heard its CRAP! You will hate it specially if you are a fan of the original Don and Big B.

I guess it just goes to prove that SRK is nothing without the Johars and the Chopras. Even the last movie with Johar was really bad.

It should be called "Kabhie Alvida Na Dekhna..."   Wink
