If it were all in the script, why make the film?

anyone saw Kyra Sedgwick on the David Letterman show? she had this microphone thingy right under her breasts.David asked "why did they put that in there" and she was like "oh you are free to touch it!"
i saw her on The View as well, she mentioned that Kevin Bacon was so agianst the idea of casting his son and daughter in the film.later on he came to Kyra and said "maybe it's just a great idea if we...." so yeah.

Loverboy
Loverboy is the name of a boy...yes a boy, not a porn star. His mother however, might be considered one. As played by a weird oversexed Kyra Sedgwick, she is clearly dillusional but also pretty one dimensional. On a quest to give birth to a perfect male she becomes a manhunter who wants the best of all breads and sleeps with anyone in sight. The story follows her incapability at bringing up her son, who she tries to sheild from the horrors of the outside world (there is good reason for this, we are told via flashbacks). There is potential firepower in this setup, but in the hands of a novice like Kevin Bacon (in his inauspicious directorial debut) and screenwriter Hannah Shakespeare (despite the sir name) it becomes a clumsy, near unwatchable mess. The torrid screenplay disguises itself as humourous at first, but this becomes more and more difficult to pull off. Bacon is madly in awe of his wife's sexuality and takes every opportunity to over expose her nudity, sometimes needlessly. Bloated dialogue delivery featuring monologues on love and life feel laborious to sit through. Its abstract but wants to be cute and it ends up becoming a disjointed disaster. This movie is full of shit and full of itself.
