The epic Anglo-Saxon tale Beowulf has been turned into an animated film using the same motion capture techniques behind The Polar Express. The epic poem chronicles the adventures of a Scandinavian warrior as he battles with the monster Grendel. Robert Zemeckis direct from a script by Roger Avary and Neil Gaiman.

13th Warrior was loosely based on the story of Beowolf.

The writers of this one are oddball choices, and with Zemeckis realizing it onscreen, this one goes way high on the Movies-To-Wait-For pile.

No mention of the IMAX release date...which could mean it comes out on IMAX on the same day OR it doesn't come out on IMAX at all. My guess is, its more likely the former. Fingers crossed.

That R rated trailer actually is pretty good, but I have a problem with Ray Winstone's voice. He doesnt sound angry enuf.
