Wicked Little Things (Cardone, 2006)IMDB LinksYou put zombies in a movie, and I’ll most likely watch it. And almost certainly I’ll enjoy it, because my expectations are so low. I just want some undead bums slowly pacing around, moaning, and getting shot in the face. That’s all I ask for.
“Wicked Little Things” doesn’t deliver any of these things. Its zombies are young kids that died in a mining accident hundred years ago, and now are back to kill people. They run, they hide, and they don’t get their stupid little faces blown away. What’s the fun in that?
And most of the fun in zombie attacks is the senseless reason behind it. Zombies don’t want to kill you because they have a purpose. Here the kids are back from the dead because if the injustice of their death. You know, kids in mining accidents. Laborers who die in such accidents always seem to come back and haunt the newer generations. Which means, in 50 years time, the sub continental laborers in Dubai will come back as zombie malbaries and try to kill Arab sheikhs and white British businessmen.
I’d watch that!
