M. Night Shyamalan is taking a real beating isn't he?

I'll be reading this in a week's time:

I was just checking up Rotten Tomatoes on Unbreakable, and that movie is still rated at 67% (with cream of Crop being only 52%).

But it is still arguably not only the best film he has made, but one for the archives.

The Village also bombed bad (Ebert demanded refund in his review), but it IS a great movie!
Let the world beat him blue, I'm still gonna walk into this movie without hating it beforehand (ref: AK to King Kong & Superman ReturnsEvil

Do let us know how the book is, though.

Amen to that.

Dont care what anyone says but after watching Unbreakable for the third time last week, if  M. Night even makes a movie with Steven Seagal in it I will watch it.

Although the critics HATE this movie (21% at RottenTomatoes now!!), a lot of the general public is liking it.

It's at 6.3 @ IMDb after 6000+ votes. And most people are rating it above The Village & Unbreakable in their descending favourites list of Shyamalan movies.

Most amusing comment I read: Acting is Superb, but lacks a suprise/twist ending
...and that is supposed to be a dissapointment?

twist ending? WTF? It's not a Kahani May Twist. And regarding eBert, I don't care what that old, biased bastard said...and KayT, you're a true fan, but Steven Seagal?!

Grabbed this from Grand Snakeplex.

Beautiful standalone display, that there shows the Lady trapped in real water!

By the time you get to be 25, you've seen 3,000. You've seen every permutation of every dramatic arc. And when somebody takes that and stands it on its head, that can be exciting." David Fincher

I kinda enjoyed the flick. Though I didnt enjoy seeing M. Night act. He should have restricted himself to a cameo here and there.
